our birthdays were on back to back days. she asked me to come home with her to have our birthdays with her family. at first i said yes, but then i told her i had to go home because my parents wanted to see me for my birthday. when i was home, i sent her flowers on the day saying 'happy birthday.' when i got back, we went out to dinner. was that enough to do after 2 months? should i have bought her a real gift?
we ended up dating for 4 more months, and then she ended it. could the lack of what i did for her birthday have played on her mind, or did i do enough?
Girls only: we had been dating for 2 months?
For only 2 months, you did great in my opinion.
Spending time together at dinner was your gift. =)
I would have preferred that much more than a material item.
What you did was sweet.
I honestly doubt that was the reason she ended the relationship.
She didn't tell you why she ended it? =o
Cheap.
She doesn't deserve you. =)
I'm sure you'll find another girl as time moves on.
Good luck!
Reply:I believe you did the right thing. What else did she want? but I don't believe that was the reason on the break up. Don't worry, it ended, it ended.
And that was very sweet of you to send her flowers...and dinner..............you did good.
Reply:I think you did more than enough for her birthday after only 2 months. Its her loss she as dumped you because you sound like a true gentleman. And there are only a few of them
Reply:Something as simple as that was NOT the reason she broke up with you, trust me hun. Sometimes people just lose feelings, and the birthday thing- was definetely enough. You guys had only been dating for 2 months. I mean if this was a year or so and all you did was go out to dinner I would say that was a pretty dumb thing to do, but it doesnt matter how much u liked each other, the principle fact is that it was only two months and at two months- you dont go to the end of the earth for someone. I mean, you can, but its such a short period of time, so if she kept dating u for four months after that- then it wasnt the birthday thing
