bought your parents a gift on YOUR birthday?


i did once before my dad died on my birthday i bought flowers and a balloon and a card that said i know this is my birthday but without the two of you i wouldnt be here to have this special day so thank you and happy birthday.. my mom still has them her and my dad said it was the most thoughtful gift they ever got.

Reply:I've never actually done it....but I think about that all the time....that people should give gifts to their parents on their (the person's) birthday. It makes a lot more sense than our parents giving us gifts...they already gave us the gift of life. Like you said, without them, we wouldn't be here. Very sweet and intelligent thing for you to do. Glad your parents appreciated it. :)
